Crispin Murphy

Crispin Murphy is Managing Partner at MYRA Systems, an IT Consulting firm in Victoria, and has been a board member with Westmont since 2021.  Crispin’s three children all attend Westmont. His focus with the board is to helping grow and mature Westmont Montessori as an institution. He enjoys hiking, skiing, biking, surfing, and all forms of outdoor living on the beautiful west coast of Vancouver Island.

Luke Geiger

Luke Geiger is a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Business Valuator in the private sector where he oversees a portfolio of businesses. He is a father to his two sons, Max and Ben, and he has been involved with the Board of Westmont since 2021.

Luke believes that raising bright and independent minds is an honorable obligation each parent must fulfill. Within a greater societal context, he ascribes to the words of Plato: “What is honored in a country is cultivated there”.

Andrea is honoured to be an ally and a guest here on Xwsepsum Territory of the Lekwungen speaking peoples, where she received her Master of Arts in International and Intercultural Communication from Royal Roads University and a Masters Certificate in Project Management through the University of Victoria. Her post graduate work includes refugee settlement services with the Victoria Immigrant and Refugee Center Society (VIRCS), Refugee Sponsorship Manager with the Anglican Diocese and has been honoured to Chair committees with the Canadian Council for Refugees, act as Vice President of the Board at VIRCS and an Employment Workshop Coordinator. She considers everyone she meets as gift from our big global family. She is the Proprietor of Janklin, a communications consulting firm in Victoria, BC, enabling businesses to see the strength of their workforce through amplifying the voices of those not often listened to through storytelling and advocacy, providing spaces for cultural change in school and business organization. In 2023 she launched a podcast “Canadian Salad” where she dialogues with other immigrants on their integration and their cultural experience in Canada.

She is thankful for this opportunity to serve Westmont, enabling more representation, curiosity and celebration of culture as we all together, make the Society and all of its members feel included, seen and heard in our exceptional and incredible school.

Michelle has had the privilege of being a valued member of the West-Mont community for a remarkable 16 years. Michelle currently has 2 children enrolled in West-Mont School in both the lower and upper elementary programs and is a strong believer in Montessori education. You will often find Michelle volunteering in the classrooms or chatting with other parents around the school. Michelle loves to meet new people and loves to help others, so please feel free to stop her for a chat!

Colin Doylend

Over the last twenty years, Colin has represented the interests of Indigenous communities, industry, and government towards building legacies of economic wealth that foster traditions, culture, and environmental stewardship. Colin has a passion for new and innovative projects that involve Indigenous communities, clean technology and social ventures. Much of Colin’s experience concerns managing government-to-industry affairs. As the former Chief of Staff to Provincial Ministers, senior communications advisor with BC Hydro, an advisor with Corix Utilities, Johnson Controls, and Nexii Building Solutions, Colin has gained extensive experience and knowledge in relation to all levels of government and has participated in several leading-edge legal and regulatory developments – having successfully developed and implemented over 250 agreements, partnerships and protocols between Indigenous communities, governments and industry. Through his experience with modular construction and as a certified social housing manager (CertCIH), Colin is most proud of his work with the Yale First Nation, where they developed ten affordable housing units that were built to the Passive House construction standard – the energy-efficient homes funded by either INAC or the CHMC for an Indigenous community in Canada.

Eric is an educational research and evaluation specialist. He is the father of Luca, who started at Westmont in 2023. Eric and his family are new to British Columbia, and they enjoy the nature and community feeling in the Westshore area. Before moving to Canada, Eric worked as an educator and school director in Italy, South Korea, Japan, and Vietnam. 

Matt Lokey

Matt has a background in real estate development and sales and has been a Westshore resident for over 20 years. His two son’s (Guy and Remi) both attend Westmont. Matt hopes to use his experience to help the school flourish as a first-rate educational environment for his children and others to come.
