The Bright Futures Fund is a cherished endeavour that perfectly encapsulates the spirit of our community—compassionate, forward-thinking, and endlessly supportive.

Over the years, incredible generosity has laid the groundwork for real, impactful change—scholarships awarded to bright minds in need, essential enhancements across our curricula, and improvements to our grounds and facilities. We divide our fund into three broad areas for donations:

Creative Spirits

Westmont seeks to build connections with new and established artists I our community and beyond – working to enrich the cultural life of our school and our community. Whether it is mime or music, acting or singing, our students have the opportunity to learn and grow through performance and creative expression.

Engaged Minds

Rooted in the BC curriculum and built on the Montessori love of learning our school works hard to engage and deepen the minds of our students. From imaginative international ‘trips’, though working with local gardeners to learn about our natural environment, to supporting Malawian girls to complete their education, Westmont strives to connect the everyday world of school with the currents of the global community.

Active Lifestyles

Westmont offers an educational environment that is both dynamic and engaging. Students move around their classroom and our campus, constrained only by the limits of their imagination and curiosity. Our students are active learners in every sense of the word and are laying the foundations for an active and healthful life.

We Like to Give as Well as Receive!

Westmont’s Charitable Impact Program (CHIMP) strives to educate our children and youth about charitable giving at an early age, teaching them financial literacy and exposing them to the great feeling that comes with making an impact. We aim to encourage generosity and to inspire youth to give frequently and with purpose — a lifelong practice that fills their buckets and allows them to take ownership of their potential to make an impact.
